About the Chef

Maia is a freelance culinary professional specializing in seasonal farm-to-table cuisine.

 

Maia grew up in Southern California and always had a strong passion for food and the way it brings people together. At age 11, she began challenging herself with advanced recipes.

 

After completing her Bachelors Degree at UCLA, Maia went on to study Health Supportive Culinary Arts at the Institute of Culinary Education, there she finished top of her class. While in school she gained experience working as a private chef. Then she went on to work in multiple Michelin Star kitchens in LA and Washington D.C.

 

She has had the pleasure of working for culinary icon Nancy Silverton, at Michelin Star restaurant Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles. Maia has spent the last year in New York City where she has been developing recipes and producing for SeriousEats.com and other Dotdash Meredith brands. 

Now back in Los Angeles, Maia has started her own Personal Cheffing business, all about fresh, seasonal ingredients and how their natural deliciousness can be elevated!
